Lee Valentyn
Lee Valentyn grew up as an active athlete and avid Wisconsin sports fan in Kaukauna, WI (about 20 miles south of Green Bay), where he also participated in theater throughout middle school and high school. Lee moved to Milwaukee after completing his bachelor’s degree at Carroll College (n.k.a Carroll University), where he studied Psychology and Spanish, including two semesters abroad in Quito, Ecuador. He was recognized as Most Outstanding Senior upon completion of his time at Carroll.
Lee has worked for the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (n.k.a. Children’s Wisconsin), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, Clarke Square Neighborhood Initiative, and UW-Madison Extension. He spent 16 months as a volunteer in Nicaragua for the Capuchin Franciscan Volunteer Corps and 21 months obtaining a master’s degree (International Affairs) through Marquette University’s Trinity Fellowship Program.
Lee is a certified Workshop Facilitator through Community Building Milwaukee and was previously designated as a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Professional. He has volunteered in several capacities, including as a long-time local Congressional District Leader for the international NGO The ONE Campaign.
Lee continues to enjoy sports in his free time and regularly attends Brewers games during the summer and Bucks games in the winter. He has been a beer vendor at Lambeau Field since 2005 and has also sold beer at venues such as Churchill Downs and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Lee also enjoys biking, camping, and reading.
